The book “Estetica della Meditazione”, edited by Andrea Maragno/JoeVelluto (RCS, Milan), hits newsstands; inside, Guido Musante signs the essay: “Tre piccoli saggi scimmia. L’inversione concettuale come pratica di gioco, viaggio e rappresentazione”.


2021

The Piano Terra project, the result of two years of research within the framework of the Milan City Council’s ‘Urban Lab’ urban planning program, is presented at the Palazzo dell’Arte of the Milan Triennale. It contains the open proposal of a new typology of social objects and public furnishings, which will be interpreted and publicly discussed at the Salone del Mobile the following year. At the Seoul Biennale 2021, the urban concept Albenga from “A” to “a” was exhibited, inaugurating a shared research program on the smart city and cultural sustainability. As curator of the book No-form, he is a candidate for the awarding of the XXVIII° Compasso d’Oro ADI, scheduled for 2024. The publication of the essay The Vertical Forest as an icon, signed with Stefano Boeri (Actar, Barcelona), condenses the previous copywriting work for SBA. Copywriter for the companies MatteoBrioni, Bonaldo, and Vismaravetro, he designs the layout for the Supersalone in Milan for the latter (the debate on the conceptual roots common to Supercolla will inflame social media).


2020

The counter-editorial “Toward urban planning with interiors” is the 322nd and last article by Guido Musante for Domus. The article Searching for a plural architect, based on his interview with Franco Guidi (Lombardini22), appears in the magazine Archdaily, anticipating a new direction of research on the architecture studios’ social structure. Shortly afterward, he published the article “Una culla per il Cucciolo” in the magazine Dueruote, dedicated to his grandfather Gianluigi Capellino. This last one Was the inventor of the shock-absorbing bicycle, creator of the first Ducati scooter, and keeper of a great secret in the history of motorcycling and Italian industry. With A. Noto and the Ghenos agency, he devised a new format, the “advertising-novel,” inaugurated with the story USM: USM: a dialogue between a sphere and an architect, published on FrizziFrizzi.it. He became Lecturer of the course “Fondamenti di Inversione Concettuale” at Politecnico di Milano – School of Design.


2019

Thanks to the book “No-form” (Clino Trini Castelli, Corraini Edizioni) and the exhibition Supercolla | Superglue. A new reinforced formula for all types of modernity – an event at this year’s Salone del Mobile (with M.C. Valacchi, Galleria Martina Simeti, Milan) -, conceptual inversion appearing for the first time in the form of a curatorship across design and art. Two other exhibitions curated for JoeVelluto Studio (Live Now Design Later, L20 Centro Zen Metropolitano, Milan) and Clino T. Castelli (“Fiori Freschi”, Galleria Potafiori, Milan) anticipate their gestation. This year, invited by the Strelka Institute in Moscow, where he is the coordinator of the post-graduate master’s course, he became editor of the magazine “Small Russia”, presented for the first time at the International Conference “Future Architects.” As a speaker at the International Conference ‘From Global Agenda to Concrete Action,’ he introduced an image of himself together with La Corbusier, that initially suffered the blockade by Russian censorship. With Fabio Dacarro, he starts a consultancy project with the ATEC studio in Seoul for the Masterplan of the smart city Gwangmewyong’s New Town (South Korea). In this context, in partnership with studio BDA, he realized the urban mobility system project “SMART-TRAMS.”

2018

With Fabio, Dacarro founds the research studio ChiChiNo Design, with offices in Milan and Seoul. Accepted as a member of the AIS (Italian Association of Design Historians), he published the last of 15 of his articles in Interni magazine: “A New ability in design” (signed with the pseudonym Gui Ante, in homage to his friend Ante Pin).


2017

Guest Professor at the Domus Academy in Milan, in March, he became a copywriter for Stefano Boeri Architetti for the following eighteen months.


2016

He starts working as a copywriter for ADI (Association for Industrial Design). Curator for Clino T. Castelli the exhibition Tectonica (Galleria Giuseppe Pero, Milan) and for Giulio Iacchetti the exhibition “Alessi goes Digital”, Studio Iacchetti, Milan. The title The Future of Things appears on the cover of issue 667 of Interni, published in December. Inside the magazine, Guido Musante’s interview with Leandro Agrò anticipates a horizon of scientific research on the smart city.


2015

Curator of the book A Vertical Forest. Instruction booklet for the prototype of a forest city (Stefano Boeri, Corraini Edizioni). He starts his collaboration with Interni magazine with the article “Mater Materia 2”.


2014

He is the Copywriter for the brand design and communication studio Nascent Design in Milan.


2013

With issue 17 of Babylon, for which she is Guest Editor, the magazine inaugurates the Ba3ilon 3.0 digital platform; the editorial “Città in Viaggio” takes its cue from the last human journey to the Moon. In the same year, she meets Clino Castelli.


2010

He starts freelance journalism with Disegno magazine. In the following years, he will write as a freelance for several magazines, including Artribune, Panorama, Elle Decor, and Mark. The most continuous collaboration will be with Babylon – the first magazine in the world on a tablet platform dedicated to design – which will end when publication ceases on 26 February 2017. After that, as a copywriter, he started working for ADI (Italian Industrial Design Association), which will continue for many years in alternating phases.


2006

The residential project “People Shared Spaces”, realized with Collettivo for the city of Kuopio (Finland), is awarded the EUROPAN AWARD 8: the leading European award reserved for architects under 40.


2005

He started a 15-year journalistic collaboration with Domus magazine, thus starting his activity as a design copywriter.


2004

He was awarded a Ph.D. in Urban Planning at the IUAV in Venice (title of the thesis: “Il continente grigio. Black and white manifesto on the limits of dispersion”. With Marco Giorgio, Susanna Loddo and Francesca Violi he founded the design collective “Collettivo”.


2001

He participates in inter-university research “In-fra, forme insediative e infrastructure” on the case of Genoa (Marsilio, Venice).


2000

With S. Boeri and S. Loddo, he designed the installation Viaggio d’acqua (La Doccia), exhibited for the first time at the French Academy of Villa Medici in Rome (in 2022, it will going to set up again at the Sandretto Re Rebaudengo Art Park in Guarene). After moving to Milan, he began working as a designer at the architecture and urban planning firm Boeri Studio).


1999

He graduated with honors in Architecture from the Faculty of Architecture in Genoa with the thesis “Genoa, Space 1999”. The intended use identified for the study area – a car park under a swimming pool – was partly accepted by the project and then realized, entrusted to an engineering expert in structural concrete car parks (instead of a swimming pool and tennis courts).


1995

A student at the Faculty of Architecture in Genoa, he was selected by Giancarlo De Carlo for ILA&UD: for many, the most important international university design workshop in the architectural history of the 20th century.
